Rihanna had to clap back at online haters under a February 16 Instagram post where she called her nine-month-old son “fine.” Some of her fans criticized her caption under the photos of her British Vogue cover shoot, and the “Rude Boy” singer proved that she’s utterly unbothered by what anybody has to say.
“my son so fine! Idc idc idc!” She wrote in the caption, ‘How crazy both of my babies were in these photos and mommy had no clue,” She continued to thank the photographers for “celebrating us as a family!”
Some of her followers took issue with the singer calling her son “fine,” and they expressed it in the comments under her post.
One person asked, “Who calls their son fine?”
Rihanna clapped back directly to the commenter, “His Mother!!!” she replied.
Another critic tried to correct her language, “more like cute [and] adorable he’s not a grown man,”
Again, the nine-time Grammy award-winning mother shot back, “you just keep your lil cougar paws away from him, and we good!”
The discourse made its way off of Instagram and onto Twitter, where people continued to share their opinions on the incident.
Alongside the initial photoshoot that started it all, she shared an additional set of them to the social media platform showing off her and A$AP Rock’s son and their beautiful family.
