Rick Ross Makes His Major TV Network Acting Debut On “The Equalizer”

The rapper flexed his acting chops on the tv show which stars Queen Latifah

Rick Ross made his first major television network acting debut on CBS’ The Equalizer starring Queen Latifah.

On Jan. 7, Ross announced new his role on The Equalizer via Instagram. He posted still images of the first episode he appears in with the caption,

“Look out for my cameo w/ the Icon @queenlatifah on the @theequalizercbs episode Airs Jan. 9 on CBS.”

In the photos are Dilemma, McCall, and Detective Marcus Dante, depicted by actor Tory Kittles, sitting at a table in prison.

The 45-year-old rapper and business mogul plays an incarcerated emcee named Gregory “Dilemma” Blackman who pleaded guilty to murder and is trying to clear his name. He made his first appearance in episode nine of season two titled, “Bout That Life” on Jan. 9.

In the episode, Queen Latifah, who plays “Robyn McCall”, arrives to deliver justice to Dilemma due to his conviction. McCall is a single mother and intelligence agent from New York City with a secret past who spends her life avenging the afflicted.

Three days later, on Jan. 10, Ross posts an actual clip of the scene. In it, his character Dilemma is seen expressing his thoughts about his actions and shedding a tear about his circumstances.

“On record, I provided for my family, I never imagined the damage it could cost,” Dilemma says to McCall and Dante at the table. “My son has to price to pay and that’s on me. But us getting to this truth, us being free from all of this, we owe that to you.” Cue dramatic music.

Beneath the clip, Ross wrote, “Much love to the icon @queenlatifah for the opportunity. Check out my major tv network acting debut on @theequalizercbs acting alongside @torykittles @cbstv Search Episode 9 “Bout That Life” Streaming on @paramountplus.”

Though this is the first time many have seen Ross act, it isn’t his first role. He played the Bolita mobster boss of Miami in season two of Magic City on Starz in 2013. At the time, he announced his role in the show on Twitter.

The Teflon Don also released his latest album, Richer Than I Ever Been, in December 2021.

Ross is in his bag.
