Beauty is pain- CLEARLY.

On August 15, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Marlo Hampton announced that she had undergone hair transplant surgery.

The reality TV star revealed her recent procedure via an Instagram live where she revealed the after-effects of the surgery. The pretty diva’s eyes were swollen and bruised.

Hampton kept it a buck about the work she had done.

“I had a hair transplant for my edges y’all. So all the fluids and all that is just coming down to my face. Ain’t this s–t crazy.”

“I’ve been in so much pain from the hair transplant. But I’m so excited about it. And I just wanted to keep it really real with you guys, be transparent and let y’all see the good, the ugly and the things we go through for beauty.”

Hampton explained that the reason for the surgery was to regrow her edges.

She also chose to make the discussion public because “everyone shares everything that’s so beautiful” about going through plastic surgery and said she’d like to share a different perspective.

She mentioned that viewers would see the post-surgery look and a detailed explanation of the procedure on her YouTube channel.

“I will tell you more about it on my YouTube. But I wanted you at least just to see this…I’m gonna let y’all know when I arrived to the doctor to when I got in the chair. I’m going to let you guys go through the whole entire process on my YouTube.”

According to the Atlanta Black Star, a hair transplant is a surgery that requires a plastic or dermatological surgeon to migrate hair from one area to a thinning or balding area of one’s head.

Hair transplant surgery can range in price from $4,000 to $15,000.

We wish Marlo a speedy recovery!
