RHOA Alum Cynthia Bailey Says Her Mother Is Cancer-Free After Radiation Treatment: ‘Glory Be To God!’

RHOA alum Cynthia Bailey recently shared that her mother, Barbara Ford Morris, is cancer-free following radiation treatment, saying, “Glory be to God!”

A relieved Cynthia took to her Instagram account to share the news with her concerned fans and followers.

“For everyone that has been asking for an update on my mom @barbarafmorris cancer journey, i am so excited to let you all know that today was her last day of radiation, and she is, by the grace of God, cancer free!!!” she gloated.

The former RHOA star added that due to her mother’s cancer recovery, the holidays “came early” for her.

“Thanksgiving came early. Thank you all for your love, prayers & well wishes! Glory be to God! [pink hearts emojis] #cancerfree #healthiswealth.”

The good news arrived months after Cynthia revealed that Barbara had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully, medical professionals caught the disease in its early stages, Sis2Sis reported at the time. That month, she shared updates on her mother’s surgery preparation via Instagram.

“SURGERY DAY. Thank you for all the love, phone calls, texts and prayers, everyone. My mother @barbarafmorris is a little anxious & nervous but otherwise in good spirits mentally and emotionally,” the 55-year-old wrote. “Her blood pressure was too high to operate when they prepped her, but thankfully they were able to get it down before the surgery. Now we pray and wait. CONTINUE to pray with me & my family for a successful surgery & a speedy recovery.”

She continued, encouraging her followers to get annual mammogram checks.

“Ladies, please make it a priority to get your mammograms every year. That is how we found the cancer & was able to get it out early. early detection is key!” she said.

According to Breast Cancer Prevention Partners’ official website, African American women are disproportionately affected

by the potentially deadly disease.

“African American women face both disproportionate exposure to breast carcinogens and the highest risk of serious health impacts from the disease.”
