Remy Ma And Fat Joe Set To Guest Host ‘The Wendy Williams Show’

The ‘Terror Squad’ rappers will take over the purple chair as the latest celebrities chosen to guest host the show in Wendy Williams’ absence.

According to an announcement from the show’s Instagram account, the rappers are scheduled to guest host the show during Thanksgiving week on Tuesday, November 23, and Wednesday, November 24.

In a recent update, Williams, 57, took to social media to share with her fans how she has been doing since she was diagnosed with COVID-19 in September 2021.

“HOW YOU DOIN? I MISS YOU ALL! As everyone knows, my health has been a hot topic,” she started the post.

Williams added, “I’m making progress, but it’s just one of those things that’s taking longer than we expected. I’m a woman of a certain age, and I know enough to listen to my doctors and will return to my purple chair as soon as we all agree I’m ready.”

Leading into the holiday week, author Bevy Smith, Devyn Simone from MTV’s The Challenge: Aftermath, Variety chief correspondent Elizabeth Wagmeister, and comedian Michael Yo will return to host on Monday, November 22.

According to USA TODAY, the former radio personality expected to host the show’s 13th

season on Monday, October 4, when she tested positive for COVID-19 along with additional health issues that delayed the premiere for two weeks.

“Wendy will not be returning with new shows on October 4,” read a statement posted to the “Wendy Williams Show” Instagram account on September 30. “She has been and continues to be under a doctor’s care and is still not ready to return to work. We plan to return with new shows on October 18.”

The show’s Instagram account teased Williams’ return to daytime television a day before the premiere date.

“Her breakthrough COVID case is no longer an issue, and she has tested negative,” the Instagram statement explained, “but she is still dealing with some ongoing medical issues.”

Though Williams is progressing in her health, she did not state when she will officially return to the show, but there will be a slew of guest hosts scheduled to “How You Doin” the audience until she returns with the tea.

We’re praying for you, Wendy. Get well soon!
