Rapper Yung Joc Said Male Producers Propositioning Women Artists For Sex Was Common ‘You Want The Beats; I Want The Meats’

Yung Joc interviewed with VLAD TV and talked about Ashanti’s testimony on The Breakfast Club, where she revealed that an anonymous producer demanded shower sex from her in exchange for records. According to Joc, male producers requesting sex from women artists was normal and also happened to men.

“I think it’s very common,” he said. “I think a lot of women be like….men too, let’s be for real,” he said. “I’m just saying, ‘You want the beats, I want the meats!’”

The 42-year-old implied that some male producers view sex with women artists as a “celebration” and nothing harmful or derogative.

“I can hear it! I can clearly hear that,” he said. “I can see it happening. You know ‘Don’t look [at it] as, like, you gave me that for that. Look at it like we gave each other something, and in return, we celebrated with a good ol’ hot night of steamy, passionate sex.’ I can hear that s**t!”

He then encouraged women with similar experiences to come forward and tell their “scenarios.”

“I’m a man, and I ain’t ever really propositioned a woman for sex,” he said. “But you gotta ask the women because the women who are always propositioned for sex– they can tell you probably a better scenario of how it happens.”

He added, “In the comments, ladies, give us a scenario of how you’ve been propositioned for your goods. Leave a comment below. I want to know, for real.”

Joc clarified that he wouldn’t use a woman for her body.

Sis2Sis previously reported that Ashanti disclosed she was asked to have shower sex with a producer. If she refused, she would have had to pay him $80,000 for the two songs they worked on.

“We did two records together, and he was like, ‘Okay, I’m not gonna charge you, you know you, my homie,’” she said on The Breakfast Club. “When it came time to put it on the album, he was like, ‘well, let’s take a shower together.’ I thought he was joking, and then he was like, ‘Nah, I’m dead serious. Let’s go out or take a shower together, and I’ll give you the records. If not, I need 40 racks per record.’”

When informed about Ashanti’s story, Joc’s thoughts initially went to producer Irv Gotti, but the interviewer shut down the idea, claiming it was a different producer. Like everyone else, Joc was curious about the producer and encouraged DJ Akademiks and others to investigate.
