R. Kelly Accused Of Sexually Abusing Teenage Boy He Met At McDonald’s

R. Kelly was once a highly-revered singer-songwriter, with countless hits and awards in his catalog. But since an outpouring of allegations against the “I Believe I Can Fly” singer has added up over the years, R. Kelly has had to face the legal system multiple times over his accused past of sexual encounters with underage girls, some of which was covered in the famed 2019 Lifetime documentary

Prior to R. Kelly’s upcoming sex trafficking trial, set to begin next month, the Daily Mail reported that prosecutors are seeking to add new evidence, which reportedly involves R. Kelly sexually abusing a teenage boy.

According to the Associated Press, the singer is accused of having sexual contact with an unnamed 17-year-old male that he met in December 2006 at a McDonald’s restaurant. dream hampton, executive producer of Surviving R. Kelly, told

NPR in 2019 that the singer’s frequenting of McDonald’s was often used as an opportunity to pick up young girls, saying “He would cruise McDonald’s near high schools and have someone from his team go up to a girl, you know, get her number, and she didn’t have to be anything,”

“She didn’t have to have long hair or short hair, be light-skinned or dark-skinned, have a great body or a bad one. All she had to be was young,” the director-producer

continued.

The Daily Mail reported that R. Kelly was also alleged to be involved in the early 2019 bribery of a Cook County clerk in Chicago, information that could play out in his upcoming sex trafficking trial, reportedly set to start on August 18.
