Queen Latifah Stuns The Internet With Her ‘Star Spangled Banner’ Performance At The Cowboys Vs. Giants Game

The multihyphenate Queen Latifah snapped with her performance of the “Star Spangled Banner” at the Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants game on Sunday, Sept. 10.

The singer donned an all-white suit and silk press for her performance, hitting all the right notes and showcasing her beautiful alto voice.

Her performance doubled as a 9/11 tribute.

Red sparks flying in the air and a camera zooming into the Statue of Liberty enhanced the song’s emotional aspect.

Social media commended Latifah for her performance, with many being surprised at the 

Girls Trip actress’ abilities as a musician, not realizing that she has been in the music game for years. In fact, Queen Latifah is one of the trailblazers for the women in hip hop movement, releasing hits in the ’90s like “U.N.I.T.Y.,” “Dance for Me,” “It’s Alright” and “Ladies First.”
