Proud Parents! K. Michelle And Montell Jordan’s Sons Initiated In Black Fraternities

Congratulations, Skyler Jordan and Chase Bowen!

Music icons K. Michelle (real name Kimberly Michelle Pate) and Montell Jordan have indeed set a precedent for their sons, who recently got inducted into Black Greek-lettered organizations in the Divine Nine.

The Gamma Pi chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi at Alcorn State University initiated Montell’s son, Skyler Jordan, into the fraternity last week. The “This Is How We Do It” hitmaker took to Instagram to share videos and photos of his son’s probate.

“Legacy,” Montell wrote in the caption of one video. “Big shouts to SP’ 23 @gpi_nupes1949 and my son @skyler_jordan who kept it in the family. Showtyme to Hollywood…it’s rare when you get to be a father, friend, and now a brother. I love you my son, my friend, my brother.”

According to Watch The Yard, Montell became a Nupe in the spring of 1989. He pledged to Kappa Alpha Psi’s Beta Omega chapter at the University of Southern California.

Montell and his wife, Kristin Hudson, shared how proud they were of their son.

“Our son joined the legacy of the legendary Kappa Alpha Psi,” the post read. We are so proud of you! Great job, way to preserve.”

While Michelle didn’t post about her son’s induction, North Carolina Central University posted a photo of Michelle posing

with the new members of the Gamma Beta chapter of Alpha Phi Alph Fraternity Inc. The “Fakin’ It” singer, a Delta Sigma Theta member and FAMU alumna, held up the Delta hand sign and connected it to her son’s, Chase Bowman, Alpha hand gesture.

“Recording artist/reality tv star K. Michelle is one proud mother this morning after seeing her son Chase Bowman (seen to her right) cross Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. last night during the NPHC/Divine Nine New Member Presentation,” NCCU wrote in the post’s caption.
