Grammy Award-winning R&B legend Brandy has reportedly been hospitalized after allegedly having a seizure at her Los Angeles home.
According to TMZ, paramedics rushed to Brandy’s Los Angeles home on Oct. 11, as she allegedly suffered a seizure. She has been in the hospital with her parents, Sonja and Willie Norwood, by her side.
The alarming news made worried fans panic, as the singer hadn’t uploaded anything to her social media accounts that day. However, on Oct. 12, she gave an update on her health via Twitter.
“To my beloved fam, friends, and stars[:], thank you for sending love and light my way. I am following doctors’ orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition,” she wrote following headlines about her being hospitalized. “Thank you for your prayers and support. Grateful for you all, see you soon [red heart and star emoji].”
Brandy’s health scare arrived just days after her brother, veteran R&B singer Ray J, shared
a startling suicide message. She responded to her sibling’s sentiments with a heartfelt photo of them embracing on the set of Moesha back in the ’90s.“Need you bro @rayj [prayer hands],” she wrote in the post’s caption on Oct. 8.
In now-deleted Instagram videos, Ray J expressed that he was contemplating taking his own life. The series of videos reportedly showed him sitting on a ledge while zooming into the moon.
“If it wasn’t [for] my [kids], I would jump off and die tonight,” he said in the first clip. The second one showed his feet dangling off the ledge. However, an unnamed source told TMZ that the “I Hit It First” singer was “messing around.” Another source told Page Six that he was “fine” and that “everything is OK.”
The insider added that he was, at the time, “on vacation with Princess Love.”
