Pleasure P’s 17-Year-Old Son Wanted For First-Degree Murder In Broward County

The 17-year-old son of an R&B singer is suspected of murdering a 24-year-old man in Broward County, Florida.

Marcus Ramone Cooper, the son of Pretty Ricky group member Pleasure P, is on the run, and police are searching for the teen. He is accused of shooting and killing 24-year-old Tyron Arthus on the morning of Oct. 8. Broward County Sheriff’s Department obtained an arrest warrant on Nov. 1 for first-degree murder. Police alleged that Cooper, who’s from Miramar, was riding in a vehicle in I-595 with Arthus at 1:30 am. The teen reportedly ordered Arthus to pull over and exit the car, where he shot him multiple times, leaving him to perish on the side of the freeway.

Arthus was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deceased man’s mother, Marie Arthus, told Local 10 News that she wanted justice for her son, and the way he was left on the road was unnerving for the grieving mother.

“For them to take my son’s life and gun him down, they left him like a dog on the side of the road. That wasn’t fair,” she said.

Pleasure P is standing by his son. The singer took to Instagram to talk to fans about the tragic situation. He maintained that Cooper was innocent and stated that all of the facts needed to be gathered to make a conclusion.

In the video, he asked why would his 17-year-old son shoot a 24-year-old man. He expressed that Cooper had everything he desired, and it didn’t make sense.

Cooper is also a new father, making Pleasure P a first-time granddad. The singer posted an adorable photo of his grandson, Amir Marcus Cooper, last month.

“Been so busy with tour and stuff that I forgot to tell you guys about this little blessing. He came a month early, weighing in at 6 pounds, introducing you guys to my Grandson Amir Marcus cooper. I had a son while I was young, now I have a grandson while I’m young. What a blessing,” he wrote on Oct. 6.

Since Amir’s birth, the doting pop-pop has posted pictures of his son and grandson. One image showed his two little guys sleeping together.

Broward County Sheriff’s Department is still sorting through the details of that fateful morning and searching for the teen, saying,  “Cooper should be considered armed and dangerous, and the investigation into the homicide is ongoing,” the sheriff’s office told the Miami Herald. Detectives ask anyone with information about Cooper and where he may be to call 911, Detective Wilson De Jesus at 954-321-4289 or Broward County Crime Stoppers anonymously at 954 493-TIPS (8477), or go to browardcrimestoppers.org.
