Pete Davidson Seeking Trauma Therapy After Breaking Up With Kim K., Kanye West’s Behavior Finally Broke Him

Apparently, Pete Davidson is triggered by Yeezy.

According to PEOPLE on August 8, sources have reported that Pete Davidson is actively seeking trauma therapy in the wake of being violently harassed by Kanye West following Davidson’s breakup with Kim Kardashian.

The source told the outlet that Davidson “has been in trauma therapy in large part” due to the threatening posts that Kanye has been putting on social media.

“The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete], and he’s had to seek out help,” the source told PEOPLE about the

Saturday Night Live alum. At 28, “Moving forward, he just wants to focus on his career.”

The unidentified person continued to explain that “[Davidson] has no regrets for dating Kim and wants it to be made very clear that she’s been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship.” Despite the threats that Kim’s 45-year-old ex-husband had been directing at him.

Representatives from both Davidson and Kim “have reached out repeatedly to Instagram asking to make the platform a safer space,” following the toxic behavior the “DONDA” rapper displayed on social media. They explained that the social media slander is the leading reason that Davidson has taken a step back from various platforms.

Kim’s rep was quick to make sure that PEOPLE knew that Davidson seeking mental health care had nothing to do with them breaking up.

“Kim does not tolerate this type of behavior from Kanye. She’s upset about the breakup. But the schedule made it so hard, and the fact that they were living in two different cities.”

The inciting incident that catapulted Kanye’s threats into the limelight was a now-deleted Instagram post that read ‘Skete Davidson Dead At Age 28.’ The words were over a newspaper backing, coming just after it was popularized that Kim K and Davidson had split up.
