Noreaga Faces Backlash For Not Challenging Kanye West During Recent ‘Drink Champs’ Interview

"Free speech should really be free!!!" he recently tweeted.

Veteran New York rapper Noreaga has been facing backlash for not challenging Kanye West during the latest Drink Champs interview.

On Oct. 15, Noreaga tweeted that he owned the internet after the interview went live.

“I own the internet for the whole weekend, I’ll give it back soon #drinkchamps,” he wrote. The tweet was accompanied by a clip of Kanye insinuating that award-winning rapper Drake had sexual relations with Kris Jenner–one of several other controversial things he said on Drink Champs

that went unchecked.

“Drake is the greatest rapper ever,” Ye said in the clip before Noreaga interjected.

“You said…Drake f***ed your baby’s mother’s mother?” he asked.

“Yeah, that was hard,” the Chicago native responded as Nore’s co-host DJ EFN burst into laughter.

“What does that mean,” Noreaga then asked him.

“You know what it mean[s]. Corey (Kris Jenner’s boyfriend) knows what it means,” Kanye said.

He also made a very insensitive statement about police brutality victim George Floyd’s tragic death, which Noreaga didn’t challenge him on. Instead, the Queens native sat back and allowed the DONDA rapper to voice his opinion on the matter.

“I watched the George Floyd documentary that Candace Owens put up,” Ye said. “One of the things that his two roommates said was, ‘they want a tall guy like me.’ And the day he died, he said a prayer for eight minutes. They hit him with the fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that.”

Naturally, Black Twitter was in an uproar and dragged both him and Noreaga.

“Nore gave Kanye NO pushback. At ALL,” @LowKeyUHTN wrote.

“Nore jumped out the window for content man… He’s gotta be criticized for this one. Can do everything for the dollar & views, folks,” @Biggz_91 tweeted.

“NORE is so nasty for that interview. The “platforms” are once again full of cowards,” @wholesomefoxx wrote.

“Nore is bragging about the interview, what he did is way worse than being in racial chat rooms showing feet,” @DanieTHBee tweeted.

“Take Nore’s BET Award and give that to Caresha too,” @DavidDTSS said.

Nore seems to be unfazed by the backlash, as he’s been tweeting about the Drink Champs interview since it aired.

“Free speech should really be free!!!” he tweeted on Oct. 16.
