Nicki Or Cardi? Quavo And Takeoff Chose Nicki Minaj Over Rival Cardi B In “Drink Champs” Episode

Migos members Quavo and Takeoff appeared on Drink Champs to promote the duo’s album “Only Built For Infinity Links,” their first project after Offset departed from the group. The pair referred to themselves as Unc & Phew.

During a mini “this or that” game, host N.O.R.E. asked the duo, “Nicki or Cardi?”

One of the rappers let out a high-pitched short laugh before the room erupted in laughter, and N.O.R.E. announced that he would take a shot. After the room went silent, Quavo was the first to respond.

“I’m going to say…I’m going to say, Nicki.”

Takeoff agreed, “Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. That’s crazy.”

The drama between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B has been around since early 2017 when many people continued comparing the two femcees. And the only time the two ever really worked together was for Migos’ track “Motorsport,” in which it was revealed that they recorded the song and video at different times due to scheduling conflicts amid their feud.

Many people speculate that Cardi B had something to do with Offset not being a part of the Migos. In contrast, others think it was jealousy reasons regarding their label, Quality Control Music Group.

Later in the Drink Champs interview, N.O.R.E. asked the duo which they would want to battle for Verzuz. Quavo threw the question back at N.O.R.E., asking who he thought would battle them. The Drink Champs‘ co-host then wondered if a Migos reunion was possible, and he explained why he asked the question stating people call it a “celebration” and not an actual battle.

The two were hesitant until Takeoff responded, “If the check right.”

Quavo avoided the question and reversed to who they thought the duo should battle.

“Are we saying y’all two, or are we saying all three,” N.O.R.E. asked again. But Takeoff and Quavo swerved

around the question.

This wasn’t the first time someone had asked them about a Migos reunion.

On Revolt T.V.’s Big Facts podcast, Quavo affirmed that he and Takeoff wanted only to see their career as a duo.

“Because we just came from a loyal family,” he responded. “Supposed to stick together. And when sometimes…s**t don’t work out, it ain’t meant to be.”
