Nicki Minaj Gives Killer Show At Wireless Festival, Causes Stampede In London

Award-winning rapper and songwriter Nicki Minaj recently gave a killer show at the 2022 Wireless Festival and caused a stampede in London.

Nicki Minaj, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, headlined the Wireless Festival on July 10 and delivered a fantastic show to a roaring audience. That day, she reposted a video of her set at the jam-packed National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, London from a birds-eye.

“THE QUEEN HAS ARRIVED [crown emoji] @nickiminaj #GopuffxWireless,” the original post, uploaded to Wireless Festival’s official Instagram page, said.

Minaj performed a string of her classic and newer hits, including “Moment For Life” (2010), “Did It On ‘Em” (2011), “Superbass” (2011), “Starships” (2012), “Anaconda” (2014), “Do We Have A Problem” (2021), and “We Go Up” featuring Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign (2022).

The Trinidadian-born Queens-bred musician was reportedly 40 minutes late to her performance, but her devoted fans and attendees of the concert said it was well worth the wait. Many of them even climbed barriers and tried to bypass police to see her, causing a stampede.

“The impact to see Nicki Minaj today is crazy,” user @HARDWHlTE wrote with footage of the stampede.

After her show, Nicki went on Instagram live and told her followers that she’d be showing up at a local cafe for a meet and greet with the Barbz at Cafe KOKO on July 11. She reportedly took three hours to show up and caused yet another stampede when she did.

Footage of the second stampede quickly went viral on social media.

“QUEEN HAS ARRIVED,” @BigBankBurt tweeted with a video of the chaos attached.

“@NICKIMINAJ checking out of Camden [star eyes emoji],” @carmel_clinton wrote with another video of it.

TikTok user @urboysolo also posted a viral clip of Nicki in the crowd via his account.

“Absolute carnage! Nicki in the hood [laughing emoji] #london #nickiminaj,” he wrote.

After the hoopla, the “We Go Up” rapper shared an image of herself sitting in her car on Instagram.

“My babies, I love you all so much. [heart hands emoji] [British flag emoji]. Thank you to the officers for helping us so much today [heart emoji],” she wrote.

Earlier in July, she headlined the Essence Festival in New Orleans. She’s set to headline Rolling Loud in New York and iHeart Music Festival in Las Vegas this September.
