Nicki Minaj Fan Base Believes She Called Cardi B ‘Ugly’ In New Song ‘We Go Up’

Nicki Minaj fans dissed rival Cardi B in her new single “We Go Up.” According to the lyrics from Genius, the Queens rapper talked about an unidentified person’s appearance, and many believe she was taking shots at Cardi.

At the 0:49 mark of the song, Minaj says, “Let’s see, After all of that surgery, you are still ugly, And that is what gets me,” leaving many to believe the 39-year-old was referring to the “WAP” artist. Meanwhile, Cardi has had several cosmetic surgeries done, including liposuction, breast augmentation, and veneers applied

to her teeth. However, one could argue that Minaj also had cosmetic procedures done to enhance her bodily appearance.

After the song went viral, Twitter users shared their opinions on whether the “Truffle Butter” rapper was talking about the Bronx native or not.

One user said, “Nicki really just told Cardi B she was ugly & wanted to be like her,” with multiple laughing emojis.

“Why ppl always starting DRAMA? NICKI MINAJ DID NOT CALL ANY NAMES.NICKI is just rapping her same lyrics as usual. I THINK IT’S JUST PPL HATING ON CARDI B DUE2HER TALENTS, MONEY & CHARACTERISTICS.PPL, PLEASE LEAVE CARDI B ALONE! CARDI IS DOING HER LIFE W/OFFSET & THEIR KID’S.HATERS?” another user said.

Another user pointed out that Minaj also had several surgeries done.

“Uhmmm, Nikki Minaj has gotten surgery too, as have many female rappers,” he said.

“She prolly talkin bout herself b***hes be forgetting they really not original. Don’t come@for cardi cause she change what she could when she was able and remember you change what you was uncomfortable with that nose them titties and a**. Period!” a user explained.

“Nobody care for Nicki but her fans. She only do music with female who gonna get a award for Nicki always side diss that’s her. I don’t respect a women who marry a rapist. Please, she just said Lil Wayne told her to get butt shots and still getting smh,” said another user.

While Cardi and Minaj didn’t publicly comment on the controversial lyrics, the feud between the two rappers started in 2017 when Cardi was an upcoming artist in the hip-hop industry as many compared her to Minaj. Since then, the two women have taken shots at each other on social media and in person.
