Nicki Minaj Addresses Pregnancy Rumors With Fans On Instagram Live

Nicki Minaj had fun entertaining the Barbz on Instagram Live Saturday night while addressing pregnancy rumors that seemingly went viral on the internet.

According to Billboard, the Queens native chatted with fans on the social platform just hours before she was set to perform as the headliner for London’s Wireless Festival on Sunday.

In the 11-minute clip, fans started asking the 39-year-old if she was expecting another child with her husband, Kenneth Petty.

“Am I pregnant?” her eyes bulged as she read the question in the live session.

“… Oh, I did mean to tweet this: ‘I’m not fat, y’all, I’m pregnant. Yeah, I meant to tell y’all, but I forgot,” Minaj continued.

While congratulatory comments from fans started reeling in, the “Truffle Butter” artist interjected by correcting her statement.

“Oh wait,” she said. “Did I say it wrong? I’m sorry. I think I said it wrong. I meant to say I’m not pregnant. I’m fat.”

Minaj was amused at the pregnancy rumors and the responses from fans after confirming the statement. She then laughed and thanked them for sending the celebratory messages.

“But thanks, guys, for all the congratulatory messages,” she chuckled.

Minaj’s response comes days after her performance at the 2022 Essence Festival in New Orleans on Friday, July 1, Sis2Sis reported

. However, she received backlash from fans after publicly expressing how she felt about rapper Kanye West while performing one of the Chicago native’s songs, “Monster,” featuring Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Bon Iver and Minaj.

When the song started to play, Minaj quickly shut it down, saying, “Hold on… I’m ‘Monster’d out…and we don’t f**k with clowns,” she said as she smiled at the crowd.

Twitter users called the rapper out for her controversial statement. One user suggested that Minaj should worry about her personal life with her husband and his past rape charges.

“#NickiMinaj refuses to perform #KanyeWest

collaboration ‘Monster,’ says “we don’t f**k with clowns” But wait #MrsPetty your whole Husband is a .. I guess she forgot # KennethPetty’s r@pe charges,” the person tweeted.

Minaj and Petty wed in October 2019 and welcomed their first child in September 2020.
