Nick Cannon In Hospital With Pneumonia

Cannon shared the news on Instagram

Nick Cannon shared that he was hospitalized on December 2 from pneumonia. He put the update up on a recently deleted Instagram post with a caption expressing his feelings about being back in the hospital, with a picture of himself in a hospital gown, mask, and in a room alone.

The post came soon after Cannon performed at a show in Madison Square Garden, New York, for his Wild N Out

tour.

Okay, so I guess I’m not Superman. I promised myself I would never be back at this place again. But this is a great lesson to take care of YOU, or YOU won’t be able to take care of everyone else,” he began in the caption. Cannon continued to assure his fans that he just needed rest and would recover with some rest.

“Don’t trip, though; I don’t need any well wishes or prayers– just some solid rest, and I will be back on the journey to becoming stronger than ever… it’s just pneumonia, nothing I can’t handle,” Cannon expressed the shock of going from performing in front of a crowd to being alone in his hospital room battling the infection. “The crazy thing is, last night, we was just rocking a sold-out crowd at Madison square garden in front of thousands of fans, now I’m all alone in a tiny hospital room. Life is definitely a rollercoaster! #LupusWarrior.”

The last line of his post references how Cannon lives with an autoimmune disease of lupus. According to the Mayo Clinic, it’s a disease in which the body’s immune system attacks its tissues and functional organs. It often causes chronic pain for those who suffer from it, and Nick Cannon has been open about his condition in the past.
