NeNe Leakes Revealed Former Day One, Cynthia Bailey, Wasn’t There For Her When Husband, Gregg, Died

Former peach holder NeNe Leakes threw shots at her former best friend and Real Housewives of Atlanta castmate Cynthia Bailey during a Wednesday appearance on V103.

In a video shared by The Neighborhood Talk, one of the co-hosts shadily asked the widow about Cynthia’s presence during her time of need. NeNe stated that despite the two being like sisters, Cynthia was MIA when her husband, Gregg Leakes,

passed away on Sept. 1.

“Cynthia didn’t even come to the repast. She did come like a week later after everything was done,” NeNe said during the taping.

 

“She came by my lounge,” the Glee alum told V103. “It’s really hard to explain ‘Housewives.’ It’s almost like a dysfunctional family.”

Cynthia responded to Nene’s shots by explaining why she was absent from Gregg’s service. She disclosed that she was out of town.

Cynthia told Page Six, “I’m really glad, honestly looking back, that I didn’t make it to the actual celebration because I think if I had, I never would have had the moment that I got to have with her just hanging out with her at her lounge and pretty much closing the place down like we really got to spend some one-on-one time together.”

Always willing to remind the people that she’s rich, NeNe also expressed how tacky her fellow network mates were to go in and gift her a bouquet of flowers after Gregg passed away.

“Actually, I was surprised because the first. I’m like, ‘Why do y’all need to go in together and buy some damn flowers? If all y’all work … you can spend your own $200.’ That’s the way I’ve always been.”
