Ne-Yo ‘Kicks’ Out Fan Who Took His Hat On Stage

She know good goddamn well she wasn’t supposed to grab my hat,” Ne-Yo said.

Ne-Yo has been having personal disputes with women, including his ex-wife and alleged baby mother, but on July 1, at a concert in Downsview Park, Toronto, where he performed alongside Nelly, Rick Ross, and Ja Rule, a female fan grabbed his signature hat off his head while dancing on stage.
Despite the woman’s playful intentions, Ne-Yo did not find it amusing and made it clear that she was not a real fan. He eventually got his hat back.

“She know good goddamn well she wasn’t supposed to grab my hat,” Ne-Yo said. “Get your a– back over there,” he said, pointing to where she can get off the stage.

When the woman was being removed off stage, Ne-Yo made a kicking gesture to express his frustration before collecting his composure.

The R&B singer is best known for his signature hats to cover his bald head, and ostensibly, he is probably insecure about his baldness and his thinning hairline.

At a young age, Ne-Yo, whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, growing up as a middle schooler at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts from the ninth through eleventh grades, was teased for his prematurely thinning hair, so much so that teachers permitted him to wear his hat in class.

As Sister 2 Sister previously reported, Ne-Yo has a lot on his head –the singer made a request for a paternity test for the children he may have fathered with Sade Bagnerise, the model seeks the “primary custody” of Brixton and Braiden and “immediate monthly child support.”

The latest twist in Ne-Yo’s dramatic baby mother narrative, on June 27, contradicts what Bagnerise first intended. Bagnerise stated that she would have agreed to “joint legal custody” of her and Ne-Yo’s children.

The mother in question reportedly pushed for the singer to have “every other weekend visitation” with the kids and to switch their “holiday parenting time.” In terms of the woman’s child support request, she has allegedly urged the court to grant her interim support.
