Mike Who? “Jeopardy!” Executive Producer Mike Richards Expected To Host The Show Instead of LeVar Burton

How, Sway?

Jeopardy! producers already may have decided to make Mike Richards the newest host of the popular game show. After having numerous other candidates, including LeVar Burton, who broke the “lowest score” record while guest-hosting, it appears Richards may be the top pick. Burton still won the hearts of America.

As previously reported,  Burton hosted the show for one week, and during that time– a contestant named Patrick Pearce ended up with the lowest score in Jeopardy! history with -$7,400.

According to Variety, Richards is reported to be in advanced negotiations with Sony Pictures Television to become the permanent host of the quiz show.

Before he was a host on the show, Burton signed a fan petition to make him the show’s next host in 2013 and said three years ago that “there is only one game show I’ve ever wanted to host… This Is Jeopardy!”

Following the announcement, Burton’s fans had questions about the shocking decision and took to social media to sound off about it.

Details on Richard are still being worked out, but we only see Burton.
