Michael B. Jordan Hosts ‘SNL’ For The First Time, Addresses Breakup With Lori Harvey

After his breakup, Jordan told "SNL" audience that he decided to learn a new language and jokingly said, "Estoy en Raya," meaning, "I'm on Raya."

Actor Michael B. Jordan made his debut as a Saturday Night Live host during the weekend and discussed his breakup with Lori Harvey.

“My name is Michael B. Jordan, but tonight, Michael B. Hostin’,” Jordan began. “Michael B. Jokin’ and, honestly, Michael B. Nervous. Michael B. Vulnerable. But don’t worry, Michael B. ‘ight.’ Because Michael B. In therapy.”

He talked about his first acting roles on the soap opera All My Children

, in which a 2003 clip of him acting was played. He eventually elevated to accepting more prominent roles in films like Creed and Black Panther to eventually directing Creed III.

“I went through my very first public breakup,” the Creed actor explained, receiving “Awwws” from the audience. “Now, most people after a breakup are like, ‘I’m going to get in better shape.’ But I was already in Creed shape. So, I had to be like, all right, I guess I’ll learn a new language. Anyway, estoy en Raya (I’m on Raya).”

Raya is a social networking and membership-based app used for dating and networking. Many celebrities and influencers have said to be on the app.

“After the breakup, everyone thought I was so heartbroken because when the news came out, I was at a basketball game, and it caught me looking like this,” he said, with a picture of a disappointed Jordan popping up, which became a meme.

“Look, I was just chilling, but the internet decided that was me being sad. Luckily for me, if you Google ‘sad Michael Jordan,’ the first 8,000 results are this,” the iconic photo of retired NBA player Michael Jordan in tears appeared.

Some female SNL cast members, Chloe Fineman, Ego Nwodim, Heidi Gardner and even Punkie Johnson, attempted to woo the Black Panther actor.

As Johnson approached Jordan, he asked her, “Aren’t you gay?”

Johnson gave a reasonable response, “I am. But you’re Michael B. Jordan. And I’m Punkie B. Curious. I mean, even vegans got cheat days, right?”
