Megan Thee Stallion and Trae Tha Truth Gift Shopping Sprees To Water-Selling Student, Jaydeen Buckley

This boy deserved to be blessed.

Music talents and Houston natives Trae Tha Truth and Megan Thee Stallion gifted Jaydeen Buckley, a student selling water to fundraise money for school clothes, with a shopping spree.

According to Revolt, Trae saw photographs of Buckley selling water on Facebook in a post that read, Please stop by and buy a bottled water or donate to him.”

“He’s a really sweet kid. In a world where so many of our youth choose to rob and steal, he has chosen a different path … Let’s make sure he has everything he needs to be successful this school year.”

The rapper then decided to go to social media to find the young boy.

In his own post, he said, “Get Me A Contact On Lil Homie, Tell Him I Got Him,” Trae wrote on Instagram. “Too Hot for him To Be Out There.”

Trae was later able to contact Buckley’s mother, Meka Buckley, and a meeting was set.

“Found the LiL Man who was sellin’ water to get school clothes,” wrote Trae. “Bout To Turn Him Up!!”

Trae gifted Buckley and his family with a back-to-school shopping spree.

“We Got You Jaydeen…. Welcome To Houston…,” he wrote as a caption to his Instagram post of him and the Buckley family.

“Anotha Day Anotha Blessing.”

In an interview with KHOU, Meka Buckley, Jaydeen’s mother, shared her reaction to the good news.

“I didn’t expect it,” Meka said.

“I just want happiness and peace,” Meka explained. “I’m tired of the struggle. I’m tired of struggling by myself.”

But the blessings didn’t end there; Meka said that Megan Thee Stallion’s security team reportedly picked her son up and took him on his second shopping spree.

Buckley, who is new to Houston, was selling water outside of a gas station for three weeks when a Facebook post went viral and boosted his outreach.

Buckley was able to get new clothes and a tablet before the start of the new school year.

He said he feels motivated with his latest gifts and hopes to inspire others.

“I was actually motivated,” Jayden said.

“I hope it encourages other people to stay and work hard,” Buckley said.
