Marlon Wayans Reacts After Meeting White Cousin During Radio Interview, ‘I Feel Bad Because Now I Realize I Was Making Fun Of Us’

Wayans appeared on the radio show on April 29.

Comedian Marlon Wayans’ reaction was priceless after discovering that he has a white cousin during a recent interview.

Last month, Wayans appeared alongside radio personality Big Boy for his show Big Boy TV and discovered his fourth cousin was Sean Valentine, one of the radio hosts for “Valentine in the Morning.”

While discussing his legendary family’s legacy, Big Boy surprised the 29-year-old host by having him as a guest on the show. The radio host introduced Valentine as he walked into the studio at the 15:31 mark, saying, “Marlon, this is your cousin, bro. Valentine, this is your cousin, man.”

Valentine responded, “We’re fourth cousins.”

As Wayans tried to assess the situation, he said, “Are you crazy? No way.”

When Big Boy repeated that Valentine was his cousin, Wayans shouted in a humorous tone, “Get off of me. You white. Get your white a– off me.”

After learning the surprising revelation, Wayans asked Valentine if he was of Irish descent, “Here’s why it’s crazy. Are you Irish?”

The radio host said, “Yeah.” Wayans responded, “I have Irish. I am 27 percent Irish. I didn’t know this. I was making fun of white people. I feel bad because now I realize I was making fun of us.”

During the interview, Wayans told Valentine that his great-grandfather sexually assaulted his great-grandmother.

He jokingly said, “So your great-grandpa raped my great-grandma.”

Wayans looked at Valentine and said, “How you feel about that? How you feel about that, cousin? Cousin on the rape side.”

Big Boy interjected and said the encounter between the two men “didn’t work out well.”

Meanwhile, Valentine said he initially wanted to meet the comedian, to which Wayans replied, “That’s what your great-great-grandpa said to my great-great-grandma, ‘hello,’ before he raped her.'”

Towards the end of the video, the two men exchanged contact information, and Valentine informed the comedian that he found out they were related by using the 23andMe ancestry test. Wayans also admitted that he’d used the test.
