Malia Obama Signs On to Donald Glover’s New Series

Malia Obama is forging her own path and it is not in politics!. The word is that she will be joining the writer’s room for forthcoming, 8-figure Amazon series by Donald Glover

, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The “potential” series, Hive, is “rumored to revolve around a Beyoncé-like figure and stem from writer Janine Nabers (Watchmen, Away).”

The eldest of the Obama children has had Hollywood dreams for some time. She first interned on HBO’s comedy Girls in 2015 and later worked as a production assistant on the Halle Berry drama Extant on CBS.

This will be the first job for the upcoming college graduate who is expected be a part of Harvard‘s graduating class of 2021.

In an in an interview with InStyle in November of 2020, Barack Obama said of his daughter, “She’s somebody who enjoys people, enjoys life, and enjoys conversation. She’s never bored, which is a badass quality that can take you places.”
