According to a report obtained by TMZ, Lil Durk and his girlfriend, India Royale, exchanged gunshots with intruders last weekend when their home was invaded.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation reported that the pair were victims of a home invasion and aggravated assault on Sunday morning.
Authorities reported that several unidentified people entered Durk’s home in the Chateau Elan neighborhood in Atlanta, then gunshots were fired.
There has been an increase in police presence outside Lil Durk’s home, which has now been tied to the events of this past weekend.
The invasion, which took place in an upscale Braselton neighborhood attached to the golf course, winery, and resort of the same name, is part of a community where the homes reportedly sell for upwards of $1 million.
It is still unconfirmed who fired shots, but the pair played a part in the invasion and ultimately resorted to shooting their assailants.
The report stated that both the rapper and India discharged their firearms during the incident, but neither of them was injured during the altercation.
The home invaders remain unidentified and, Lil Durk’s attorney Nicole Moorman has not made a public statement regarding the incident as of yet.
According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Lil Durk remains in Georgia while he awaits trial for a case that occurred in February of 2019 for aggravated assault. He is also accused of a criminal attempt to commit murder and gang activity in the shooting that injured a man outside the Varsity in downtown Atlanta.
The rapper turned himself in at the time and released an appropriate song to match, “Turn Myself In.”
