La La Officially Files For Divorce From NBA Baller Carmelo Anthony

Former TRL host turned actress La La has officially filed for divorce from her estranged husband, NBA star Carmelo Anthony. Since the celebrity couple’s 2010 wedding, the Power star has dealt with several public cheating scandals from Anthony and had separated from him in the past before reconciling again. However, recent cheating allegations surfacing on social media the past week may have been the last straw for La La, who, according to TMZ,

filed for divorce in New York on Thursday.

La La cited “irreconcilable differences” in the documents. TMZ also reported that a close source claimed the couple might have been separated for some time but are still friendly and cordial for the sake of co-parenting their son, Kiyan Carmelo Anthony, 14.

The Neighborhood Talk reported on Anthony’s alleged creeping earlier this week, posting side-by-side photos of him behind a black stairwell and that of a mystery woman who seemingly took a selfie at the same location. 

Another cheating rumor was exposed this week by Hollywood Unlocked, who reported that another unnamed woman

claimed the Portland Trailblazers player was the father of her newborn twins and that the two met last year in New York.

The couple previously took a break from their relationship in 2017 before getting back together in 2018. La La told People Magazine about their strained relationship at the time, “We’re good. I mean, we’ve been together for a really long time, so we’re figuring out how to make it work for what is best for Kiyan and what is best for us,”

In June 2019, it was reported that the television personality was “exploring her legal options” while the two were allegedly living apart. That same month, Anthony was caught in a series of photos with another woman on a yacht, leaving his wife feeling “a wreck,” according to Page Six.

Neither of them has publicly commented on the divorce filing.
