Kyla Pratt Fans Clap Back At Critics Of Her Movie Premiere Attire

They served a casual slay!

Actress Kyla Pratt and her two daughters have recently been subjected to harsh criticism over their casual attire at the premiere of the Disney film, The Little Mermaid.

Pratt, who is known for her role in The Proud Family, sported a rust-colored top with matching leggings and nude heels, while her daughters opted for hoodies and sneakers.

Pictures of the family on the blue carpet at the May 8th premiere at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, during The Little Mermaid

premiere, were shared on social media, where critics were very vocal about the family’s attire, assuming they would be dressed in stunning gowns.

One user said, “Nope. They didn’t slay. They don’t get a participation trophy. It’s was a World Premiere of the greatest movie of the year. Everyone dressed up. Read the room.”

However, fans quickly jumped to Pratt’s defense, noting that the family looked great and they were just going to see a movie. They appreciated Pratt’s decision to dress for comfort while spending time with her children.

One fan said, “All the comments on Kyla Pratt’s outfit when you can see in this pic with her daughters they all collectively went for a simple, causal ‘let’s go to the movies’ slay!”

Another fan said, “I would be embarrassed as a whole adult going online to criticize someone’s outfit that they wore to a movie premiere. And not just anyone…..but Kyla Pratt! An unproblematic Black woman who happens to be gorgeous, talented, & a mother. Y’all are sad.”

Another said, “I could never tweet a negative word about Kyla Pratt. She’s up there for me.”

Another wrote, “I don’t like y’all dragging Kyla Pratt bc she looked amazing recently on a red carpet & y’all were * crickets * Quick to somebody & late the lift them . KP @ the NAACP IMAGE AWARDS 23’ where she won “Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance”. Where were y’all then?!”
