Kerrion Franklin, 33, was released from jail on June 1 and posted a selfie on Instagram with his shoutout.

He wrote, “James Chapter 1:2-4 Dear brothers and sisters when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it all great joy, for you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. Kerrion was arrested on April 10 by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. He was denied a $15,000 bond due to the outstanding warrants in Texas and detained due to charges of falsely representing himself to an officer, possession of purported government-issued California identification and possession of alcohol under 21.

In September, he took to social media and accused his mother of abusing him. He recorded himself on Instagram Live, claiming that his mother was threatening him with hospitalization.

“My mama done [sic] already assaulted me. They [sic] trying to take me to some hospital. This crazy,” he said.

He then tells his mother to “tell the world” he needs help to which his mother says, “You need help.”

He argued with his mother and grandmother, packed his things, and went to his grandfather’s home, which put a further strain on him and his father’s relationship.

Kerrion also leaked a conversation with his father, recording him threatening to put his foot up his son’s a**. He later apologized for the leak saying, “I sincerely apologize. I want you to know, as a father, that during that conversation, I called the family therapist and got that therapist on the phone to try to help. He never played that part of the recording.”

Now that Kerrion has been released from jail, we hope he can start rebuilding his connection with Franklin and his family. However, Franklin has not yet responded to his son’s shoutout.
