Kenny Lattimore Sings ‘Jesus Loves Me’ To Newborn Daughter, Skylar

She's so lucky!

Singer Kenny Lattimore posted a video on Sunday of him serenading his newborn daughter, Skylar Leigh Lattimore, with “Jesus Loves Me.”

In the Instagram video, Lattimore held his daughter in a way that shielded viewers from seeing her face. Resting on his legs is a blanket with Skylar’s name in pink. Lattimore proudly displayed his “Girl Dad” hat.

“The responsibility of bringing new life into a world that can be so chaotic and cruel can feel overwhelming,” Lattimore wrote in the caption. “But I sing this song to Skylar as I am reminded of the simplicity of the lyrics that express authentic love — at a time when we need more of it than ever before.”

In response to his singing, commenters threw praises at the “For You” singer.

“Come on now Sunday school teacher!” Talk show host Sherrie Shepherd commented.

“I mean…she has a whole international superstar vocalist singing to her on demand!” another person wrote.

“She will grow to be loved, very smart, beautiful, talented, and covered by the love of Jesus! May God continue to bless your beautiful family,” another user wrote.

As Sis2Sis previously reported, Lattimore and his wife, Judge Faith Jenkins, announced Skylar’s arrival, their first daughter, on Jan. 23. While they haven’t shown her face, they surprised followers with a video of their hands closed

around Skylar’s hand. Lattimore was the first to open his hands, leaving Jenkins to open her hands, revealing Skylar’s precious hand slowly.

Jenkins and Lattimore have been married since 2020. In August 2022, they disclosed that they were expecting their first child. The couple shared the gender on Instagram by cutting into a blue and pink polka dot cake and pulling out a slice containing pink frosting.
