NAACP Award-winning actress Keke Palmer has announced her first pregnancy during her latest Saturday Night Live (SNL) appearance.
During her Dec. 3 monologue on the legendary comedy sketch show, Keke announced that she’s expecting her first child.
“There’s some rumors going around. People have been in my comments saying Keke’s having a baby. Keke’s pregnant. And I want to set the record straight. I am!” she exclaimed
while revealing her growing baby bump that was concealed under a brown suit. “I gotta say, though, it is bad when people on the internet spread rumors about you y’all, but it’s even worse when they’re correct.”She continued, hilariously sharing that she’s had a “liquor sponsorship on the line” amid the pregnancy rumors.
“I was trying so hard to keep it on the down low because I got a lot of stuff going on. People kept coming up to me [saying] ‘congratulations’ I’m like ‘shhh’ can y’all stop? I got a liquor sponsorship on the line,” she said as the SNL
audience erupted in laughter. The Nope actress is reportedly expecting a child with her boyfriend, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback–he’s currently a free agent–Darius Jackson.
During a 2021 appearance on the Tamron Hall show, she talked about becoming “Instagram official” with her man and now, baby’s father.
“It became more difficult to hide,” she candidly told Tamron. “We spend all this time together, and he really is my closest friend, so it just becomes a thing where I’m not gonna hide something that makes me happy…It’s not gonna be everything you see, my job is my job, but at the end of the day this is somebody that is important to me so why not.”
She’s deleted the images since, however, as the 29-year-old has been very private about her personal life. Besides her relationship and other projects, Keke has had her hands in more things, including her recently launched digital platform network, KeyTV.
