Kanye West Said He Wanted a Divorce From Kim Kardashian First

Kanye West, who reportedly responded to Kim Kardashian’s divorce papers, is allegedly “annoyed” that the public believes his almost ex-wife was the one who wanted the divorce first. 

According to an insider source, West is “super annoyed that the story is being constantly presented as her divorcing him,” and that the rumor is all the doing of the Kardashian family’s effort to create a “huge spin machine,” 

reported Page Six.

The source added, “Actually it was him saying for a year that they have nothing in common except the kids, and he wanted out. She pulled all the stops to try to save the marriage.”

They also said that West allowed Kardashian to “file first in order to give her dignity.”

As previously reported, the rapper was unhappy about the divorce but “resigned to reality” after Kardashian filed. 

It seems like the tables turned once word got out. 

One source said that West had “been sick of being involved with [the] Kardashians for a long while. Especially her mother [Kris Jenner], who looms large in all big decisions she makes.” 

Another source said, “This isn’t about one thing. There are things that have accumulated over time and created distance between them.” 

Apparently, the couple aren’t even on speaking terms. 

A source said, “Even before Kim filed for divorce, Kanye changed his numbers and said, ‘You can contact me through my security.” 

However, West’s motives for wanting the divorce seem to have been selfish. 

“Kanye cannot stand the fact that Kim’s life no longer revolves around him. Her devotion to the kids is her number one priority, followed by criminal justice reform. Kanye feels like he has been pushed down her priority list and isn’t happy about it,” a source said, according to OK Magazine.
