John Legend Announces Headlining At Las Vegas Residency

Somebody gave him the "Green Light."

Singer/songwriter John Legend announced on December 6 that he will be headlining at Las Vegas Residency at the Love In Las Vegas festival in 2022. In an Instagram post shared by the artist, he shared a promotional clip for the event.
The video featured Legend taking a glass filled with a drink then cuts into a scene that shows him what seemed like the ’70s themed disco party while he performed on the piano, followed by him sitting inside a luxury car while his song is playing before he takes another sip of his drink and exits the vehicle into a crowd of paparazzi.

Legend captioned the post, “Get ready for Love in Las Vegas! My 2022 Vegas residency featuring your favorite songs from my entire career… full band… beautiful show…magical night. Presale signup begins now for early access to tickets and VIP packages at johnlegend.com”

According to The Grio, the event will be hosted at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood and promoted by Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment.

Fans will experience a “beautiful, soulful concert experience, showcasing Legend’s greatest hits.” They will be treated to Legend’s classic hits like “All of Me,” “Heaven,” “Ordinary People,” “Green Light,” and “Glory.”

His concert will feature a full band for the residency, which seems to be inspired by this “Bigger Love” tour and is also the name of his 2020 album.

The first night of the “Love In Las Vegas” festival begins on April 22 and will run for 24 shows, ending on October 29.

Legend’s residency announcement follows the big news that singer/songwriter Adele will also be performing at the same festival for the first time.

Currently, Legend is hosting NBC’s season 21 of The Voice.
