In this episode of Jesse Williams and Aryn Drake-Lee’s divorce drama, Williams says his ex-wife needs to get up, get out and go find work.
According to Radar, Williams reportedly filed a motion for Drake-Lee to undergo a vocational examination.
A vocational examination involves interviewing with a professional about employment-related issues. Williams’ motion would allow an examiner to interview Drake-Lee about her employment and skills.
Essentially, if the motion is granted and a hearing is scheduled, the court will determine if Drake-Lee needs to find a job to support herself.
This could also mean a reduction in Williams’ child support payments.

As previously reported, The Grey’s Anatomy actor recently requested to have his $40,000 child support payments to his ex-wife reduced. He was granted his wish and had his payments “temporarily modified” to $6,413.
The child support payment modification was made following Williams’s claims that he could no longer afford to make the $40,000 monthly payment. A judge ordered him to provide for his 8-year-old daughter, Sadie, and 6-year-old son, Maceo, after his divorce in 2019.
His claim to the court said, “I am requesting the Court reduce the child support to a reasonable amount I can afford given the significant reduction in my income and the now fluctuating nature of my income.”
Williams went on to say that his ex-wife Drake-Lee was living way beyond the means of his $40,000 payments, which seemed to be unnecessary.
Williams even reportedly told the judge that Drake-Lee, whose Instagram profile states that she was an entrepreneur and real estate broker, should return to work to help support their children.
If Williams is working to bring home the bacon, he wants to make sure his ex-wife is holding up her end of the divorce bargain as well– by getting a job.
