Jennifer Hudson Lands Her Own Talk Show

The new talk show will debut this fall.

Singer and actress Jennifer Hudson has landed her own talk show. The Hollywood Reporter revealed the exciting news on March 2.

The Jennifer Hudson Show

will make its debut this fall and replace Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, ending after 19 seasons. Warner Bros. will produce the syndicated talk show with Hearst and Fox Television Stations.

“People from around the world have been a part of my journey from the beginning — twenty years ago — and I’m so ready to join their journey as we sit down and talk about the things that inspire and move us all,” said Hudson. “I have always loved people and I cannot wait to connect on a deeper level and let audiences see the different sides of who I am, the human being, in return. And I couldn’t be more thrilled to do it alongside this incredible team. We’re about to have a lot of fun and shake things up a little bit!”

 

The Oscar-winning actress and Grammy-winning singer also shared the news on Twitter with a picture after being surprised with a cake.

“They surprised me !!! I did not see this coming,” she wrote.  Look at this cake ! The Jennifer Hudson Show is coming yal. Get ready!”

Fans couldn’t be happier for the singer and congratulated Hudson on social media.

I just want to say congratulations personally to @IAMJHUD on her new talkshow. You know have to support our own. You deserve all the blessings you receive.”

The executive vice president of Warner Bros. Domestic Television division also noted Husdon’s new talk show.

“Daytime has found its Dreamgirl,” said the vice president of Warner Bros. “We are excited to bring Jennifer Hudson to Fox, Hearst and all our broadcast station partners this fall.”
