Jay-Z’s Alleged Love Child To File Supreme Court Motion

The 30-year-old has been trying for 10 years to prove he is the rapper's son.

Rymir Satterthwaite, a 30-year-old man from New Jersey, has been fighting to prove that rapper Jay-Z is his biological father for over a decade.

According to the Daily Mail, Rymir recently filed a motion with the New Jersey Supreme Court to unseal the case, which has been kept under wraps to avoid a paternity test. He wants Jay-Z to acknowledge him as his son, but Jay-Z’s attorneys deny the allegations.

The legal battle began in 2010 when Rymir’s mother, Wanda, was dying and insisted that Jay-Z was Rymir’s biological father. She requested that both Jay-Z and her high school sweetheart, Michael Graves, take a paternity test. After Graves was found not to be Rymir’s biological father, the case against Jay-Z began.

Jay-Z’s legal team has made various attempts to avoid taking a paternity test, but Rymir and his legal team have continued to fight. The case has been sealed by the court, preventing the public from obtaining files pertaining to the case, but Rymir hopes to change this with his new Supreme Court filing.

Despite multiple dismissals, Rymir remains determined to prove his paternity, even suing Jay-Z for civil damages in 2015. In a 2022 YouTube video, he expressed his frustrations with the case and the legal system, stating that he will continue to fight for what is right.

“I don’t feel like our rights are appreciated. There is a lot of fraud and collusion that has been going on. I am not going to let that pass. We are going in there with our hard-earned money to fight fraud. The judges are allowing this to go on. Someone over them should be held responsible for this. I will not let anyone put this on my name, my mother’s name, or my godmother’s name. We will fight for what is right like we have been doing all these years,’ Rymir said in the video.

While Jay-Z has never publicly addressed the case, his 2018 album with Beyoncé, called The Carters – “You Heard About Us,” contains lyrics that vaguely address the accusations.

“Billie Jean in his prime. For the thousandth time, the kid ain’t mine. Online they call me dad, kiddingly. You’re not supposed to take this dad thing literally,” the lyrics say.

As the case continues to unfold, it remains to be seen whether Rymir will get the closure he seeks.
