Jadakiss Launches Family-Owned Coffee Brand ‘Kiss Café’ With Father And Son

Legendary Yonkers rapper Jadakiss recently launched family-owned coffee brand Kiss Café with his father, Bob Phillips and son Jaewon Phillips.

According to a recent press release, Kiss Café “is a true labor of java love,” as it’s reportedly been 40 years in the making.

“This coffee is for all coffee lovers,” Jadakiss, whose real name is Jason Phillips, said

via the release. “No specific age or background or knowledge. Coffee is a universal and a personal thing. Everyone enjoys it differently. And, we’re here to help them do that.”

The musician’s father has been in the coffee industry for a whopping 45 years–since 1977. Through it, Bob gained access to valuable industry knowledge, built solid relationships and learned about resources, including roasters, growers, distributors and manufacturers. Since 1998 he’s been serving as the president and CEO of a boutique importing and trading firm that specializes in international green coffees, Caturra Corp. As such, he introduced his son and grandson to the world of coffee and since 2018, Jaewon has been supporting Bob at Caturra Corp.

“This is one of my proudest professional and personal achievements,” Bob said. “There is no greater honor than taking what you’ve learned in this life and inspiring your family to join you and bring that pursuit to the next level.”

“Kiss Café is authentic,” Jaewon added. “It’s real. No gimmicks. It’s been in our family for well over 40 years and everything we do here is from the core.”

The brand’s sleek logo and packaging was reportedly developed in partnership with longtime creative director and friend to the family, Set Free Richardson. The logo features three intertwined coffee beans representing each individual, family, heritage and tradition.

On Oct. 19, Kiss Café released its ‘Beijo’ (kiss in Portuguese) product: a medium-dark roast Arabica blend sourced from Central America that will be available in whole bean or ground options. An announcement revealing

Kiss Café’s first retail and experiential partners is reportedly coming soon.
