Ice-T Being “Robbed” At The Pump Is A Crime We Can All Relate To

Baby, you can't just put five on it.

Rapper Ice-T, born Tracy Lauren Marrow, trended on social media after disclosing he had been robbed in New Jersey. However, the culprit wasn’t quite what everyone expected.

On Thursday, he posted a hilarious message to Twitter detailing the “crime.”

“I was robbed at a gas station in NJ last night. After my hands stopped trembling, I managed to call the cops, and they were quick to respond and calmed me down….. My money is gone.. the police asked me if I knew who did it. I said yes.. it was pump number 9.”

After fans’ collective sigh of relief, everyone agreed with the 64-year-old rapper posting hilarious responses.

“I hope you find the person(s) responsible,” one fan wrote with a photo of astronomical prices of petro from around the world. Ironically, the United States had the lowest gas prices. Hong Kong’s petro was almost $11 per gallon.

Another person posted a flick of Ice’s net worth of $60 million to suggest that buying gas was the least of his problems.

Another tweet corroborated the inflated prices’ strain on people’s wallets.

One fan offered to help Ice-T find the “suspect” and posted photos of the gas company logos in a lineup.

The tweet has garnered over 90,000 retweets and over 650,000 likes.

According to the Washington Post, there are two reasons why gas has gone up over $1.50 per gallon since 2021. The first theory

attributes the Ukrainian invasion, and the other view is the oil industry trying to profit and recover from the pandemic lockdown when travel was at a halt.

Whatever the cause is, we are with Ice-T on pressing charges on these pump prices.
