Teyana Taylor was a whole mood at the Met Gala Monday night.

Rapper Pusha T filmed the singer enjoying a Chick-Fil-A meal she snuck into the prestigious fashion event and posted it on his Instagram story.

“@teyanataylor is embarrassing me. She brought @chicfilausa to the #MetGala. I want her away from me…#HARLEM,” he captioned the video.

Even singer-songwriter Usher was perplexed that Taylor had a full plate of Chick-Fil-A nuggets and waffle fries. The “Love in This Club” hitmaker approached Taylor from behind, shocked at the singer’s bold move. According to Pusha T’s caption, Usher disapproved.

However, Taylor’s actions were understandable and justified after Lizzo took to Instagram Live in May 2022 to spill the tea on her Met Gala experience.

She slammed the event for having

limited food and alcoholic beverage options and long lines.

“They don’t go no chairs, no cocktails. I’m like b***h,” she said. “I was looking at them like, ‘Can we get some chairs or some drinks? Some hors d’oeuvres?'”

She accused the Met Gala of being avaricious with their liquor.

“They was being real stingy with the liquor that night,” she said. “He was like, ‘Red or white wine?’ I was like tequila, b***h. You know what I’ve been through? You know how many hours I’ve been in this corset? How long I’ve been in these d**n shoes? Tequila!”

The “Special” singer said the server brought her a mason jar of tequila, and she shared it with Kourtney Kardashian and her husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

Lizzo added that the Met Gala required celebrities to wait in long lines for their moment on the stairs before photographers.

According to Vogue, the event took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The dinner options for guests were “chilled spring pea soup with baby vegetables, lemon crème fraîche, and truffle snow, followed by Ōra King salmon with vegetable nage, asparagus, pickled strawberries, and radish—all served on vintage china.”

The theme was “in honor of Karl,” fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. The items on the menu were to “pay homage to his favorite foods and global palate.”

The drink options were wine and Diet Coke.
