Haddish Refuses To Step Away From “Girls Trip 2”

The actress confirmed that she has no intention to not return to the sequel, despite people pressuring her otherwise.

Tiffany Haddish says she has no intention of stepping away from the Girls Trip 2 movie, despite pressure for her not to be invited to return because of her past legal troubles.

According to TMZ, who approached Haddish on the evening of January 31, she doesn’t intend to let social media users stop her from starring in the recently confirmed sequel.

Haddish said, “I can’t be concerned with what other people think. I gotta be concerned about how I feel.” Since she’s feeling good about herself, she says that the only thing that would stop her from being a part of Girls Trip 2 is if her costars don’t want her to come back to reprise her role.

She added, likely to the detest of people who don’t want her coming back, that everyone she’s talked to involved with the film is on board with her so far. Although, Haddish admitted that she’s unsure the film will even be made despite the confirmation announcement.

“Y’know, every year they say this.”

Sis2Sis reported that producer Will Packer confirmed that Girls Trip 2 is set to take place in Ghana and has already started filming. As of now, the original cast is set to return, featuring Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, Regina Hall, and Tiffany Haddish.

The backlash that Haddish is getting comes from a child molestation lawsuit that was filed in 2022 against her and fellow comedian Aries Spears. According to the case, two underaged children accused the pair of sexually abusing them during a comedy skit that both Spears and Haddish were a part of. The accusation has fans of Will Packer’s film calling for him to cut Haddish from the franchise entirely because of her actions.
