Gabrielle Union Says She Felt ‘Entitled’ To Cheat On First Husband Former NFL Player Chris Howard After Earning More Money Than Him

Union revealed her feelings in an "Armchair Expert" podcast episode.

Bad Boys II actress Gabrielle Union got real on Monday’s episode of the Armchair Expert podcast. She talked about her first marriage with NFL player Chris Howard.

She told the interviewer, Dax Shepard, that she felt “entitled” to cheat on him and that neither of them remained faithful to the other. She said that rather than a functional marriage, it was a competition between two partners trying to get back at each other on the January 2 podcast episode.

Union said, “In our first marriage, neither one of us felt like the marriage should get in the way of our dating,” She admitted. “A part of it was keeping up with his activities, and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s what you’re doing? Oh, you’re going to feel this one.'”

The actress further explained that she felt justified in cheating on Howard.

“I just felt entitled to it, as well,” she said, “I was paying all the bills, I was working my a** off, and I felt like that’s what comes, the spoils of riches.”

She continued to say that she made most of the money in their relationship and that she, at the time, thought that meant she could do anything she wanted.

“Like my dad before me, whoever has the most gets to do whatever the hell they want, is what I thought. It was just dysfunctional from day one…a stupid relationship that should have never gotten out of the dating phase.” Union even said

that the only thing that, according to a therapist, she and Howard had in common was their infidelity.”

The internet had much to say about the toxic mindset Union boldly admitted to in the interview.
