Former NBA Player Lamar Odom Steps In To Box Fake Drake

The winner takes home one million dollars.

Fake Drake, also known as Izzy Drake, will face off against Lamar Odom in a $1 million celebrity boxing match.

On June 28, the Drake impersonator challenged the Toronto native to the match via Instagram. In the Instagram video, Izzy agreed to stop impersonating Drake if he lost the hypothetical event.

“Yo, yo, yo, it’s ya boy Izzy Drake, OVO tings, you already know we outside. I’m calling Drake out for a friendly boxing match. If I win, you gotta sign me to OVO; you gotta give me $1M,” Izzy said in the Instagram video, which has since been removed. “If you win, I’ll change my name. It’s an OVO ting, you already know.”

Of course, the fight never happened, but according to TMZ, Damon Feldman of Celebrity Boxing confirmed

the ex-NBA player Odom agreed to fight in Drake’s place.

Odom made a video announcing the fight saying, “I hear this news that this fake lookalike wanna fight my man, Drake. But my man don’t really get his hands dirty, so what I’m gonna I’m gonna step in the way and take that fight. Get the contract, lay you right down,” he said.

Odom participated in a celebrity boxing match against artist Aaron Carter last year in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He secured a second-round knockout in the match, overpowering the singer. It looks like he is ready to do it again.

The fight is slated to happen on October 15. The location is not confirmed but will either be Atlantic City or Miami. Will you be tuning in?
