About $1.4 billion of her fortune comes from the value of Fenty Beauty– her beauty and skincare line of which she holds 50 percent ownership of the other huge chunk of her revenue comes from her lingerie company, Savage x Fenty which lies at an estimated value of $270 million, as well as her earnings from her singing and acting career.
Fenty Beauty was launched in 2017 and is co-owned with LVMH’s Bernard Arnault– the world’s second-richest person.
The brand was launched to promote the inclusivity of all people.
Fenty products come in a diverse range of colors. The foundation is offered in 50 shades, which include some that are difficult to find in other lines and are modeled in the ads by diverse groups of people.
“A lot of women felt there were no lines out there that catered to their skin tone. It was light, medium, medium-dark, dark. We all know that’s not reality,” said Shannon Coyne, co-founder of Bluestock Advisors, a consumer products consultancy.
Despite her great financial success, Rih Rih’s fans have felt like she’s abandoned the world of music after she’s failed to release any music since her 2016 album, “ANTI.”
“She is creating a brand outside of herself. It’s not just about Rihanna,” says consultant Coyne. “Even if you don’t like her music, she’s created a real style in the fashion and beauty space.”
