Fetty Wap Receives Condolences From Mike Tyson After Losing His Baby Girl

Boxer Mike Tyson sent his condolences to rapper Fetty Wap on Twitter. In June, Fetty Wap’s four-year-old daughter suddenly died, and the former heavyweight champ decided to express his sympathy over her death.

“Condolences to @fettywap and family.  Met you once, and you left an impression on me.  Losing a child is devastating, so praying for you all, brother,” Tyson wrote.

It is unknown how Fetty Wap’s daughter, Lauren Maxwell, died. However, the death of a child is likely the hardest challenge that a parent will ever face, and Mike Tyson knows this first hand.

In 2009, Tyson’s own four-year-old daughter, Exodus, died by being accidentally hanged on a treadmill. The cord that many at-home treadmills usually have for heart rate monitoring or an emergency brake for the belt was dangling. There was a loop that police said she either put her head through or slipped into. Either way, it acted as a noose.

Fetty Wap sent his own message to his daughter during an Instagram live stream.

“My baby,” Fetty said with a smile as he held up a photo of Lauren. “That’s my whole twin,” he said.

He then asked his fans who were tuning in to post blue butterflies to remember his daughter, saying that she loved butterflies and believed she was a mermaid.

After his fans obliged, he began to cry.

Lauren Maxwell was one of six children who was fathered by Fetty Wap.
