Fans Celebrate Orlando Brown On Twitter For Overcoming Addiction

The former "That's So Raven" star had struggled in the past.

Twitter fans celebrated former That’s So Raven star Orlando Brown for maintaining his sobriety and overcoming his drug addiction. Brown, 33, was in a six-month-long drug treatment program for men who struggle with addiction at the Rise Church in Abilene, Texas.

During the throws of his addiction, Brown claimed that he had been raped by Will Smith and Nick Cannon performed fellatio on him. He also appeared on Dr. Phil,

looking high.

After pictures of Brown and his family went viral on Oct. 7, fans began to celebrate the actor and musician on Twitter. They also congratulated him for overcoming his addiction. Brown is now making music about overcoming his drug addiction and enjoying his family.

One fan posted Brown’s music video about his recovery.

“Not only did Orlando Brown overcome drug addiction, but he gave his life to Jesus. WHY ISN’T ANYONE TALKING ABOUT THIS?”

Another fan complimented the actor on his newfound faith and beautiful family.

“Shout out to Orlando Brown (That’s So Raven). He beat drug addiction, found faith, and has a beautiful family. Love to see it!”

Another fan commented on how much negativity Brown received during his struggles and hoped he would be commended as much as he was ridiculed.

Brown also posted a video to his Instagram account showing off his rap skills back in December.

In November, the former child star graduated from the program and got married to the woman he credited with bringing him to the church, Danielle. The couple also has a two-year-old son. The actor provided testimony during a fundraiser for the church about his struggles with addiction.

“My name is Orlando Brown. You may know me from a little show from back in the day called ‘That’s So Raven,’” he said. “I went through a lot. I experimented with crystal meth, with weed. I didn’t know what I was doing. I was addicted to the internet. All kinds of stuff. My fiancée told me about this place and when I came it was amazing. I had a blast. These brothers accepted me for who I am. Church is lovely. All the leaders are brilliant; they’re geniuses and men of God.”

Congratulations, Orlando!
