Dru Hill Challenges Other Male R&B Groups to Verzuz Battle: ‘Anybody Can Get It’

We're ready for the battle of the begging.

Members of Dru Hill declared they are ready for any male R&B group who wants to do a Verzuz battle.

Dru Hill made the declaration in a video posted on their social media accounts on Sunday. In the clip, they challenged their musical peers to a friendly competition.

“We’ll do a Verzuz against anybody,” Nokio declared.

Lead singer Sisqó started listing potential competitors, including Jodeci, Boyz II Men, Jagged Edge and 112. Jodeci and Boyz II Men have not appeared on Verzuz yet, while Jagged Edge and 112 were featured in a forgettable match in May. Sisqó didn’t forget and poked fun at the snooze fest.

“Whoever wants it can get it, whether it’s Jodeci, Boyz II Men….” Sisqó said. “Maybe 112 and Jagged Edge could combine to one group, and then they might have a chance.”

The sh-t talking didn’t stop there because Smoke had one caveat for Dru Hill’s potential opponent.

“If you ain’t sanging, get somewhere,” he said.

Despite the teasing, Sisqó ended the video with love for his peers.

“Y’all know our numbers. We love all y’all,” the “Thong Song” singer said.

Dru Hill seems to be confident in their abilities, but some fans are skeptical.

“I know Dru Hill is 5 steps from eternity, but they can’t see Boys II Men. I don’t care what lifetime they’re in!” one person wrote.

“I really like the old Dru Hill, but they are not beating Jodeci and definitely not Boyz to Men in a Verzuz Battle…” another user tweeted.

Others were confused by the group’s appearance.

“Is this Dru Hill?” one person asked. “I ONLY know Sisqo & Niko. If they wanna do a #Verzuz battle, they gotta bring in the other 2 members. We don’t know the 2 new members. But they should battle Silk.”

So far, no one has responded to the challenge. Verzuz hasn’t spoken on the battle of the “ooh yeas” either.
