A viral TikTok Trend ended in tragedy after two people were killed and one wounded in Shreveport, Louisiana, over the weekend.
A group of friends participated in the “The Crate Challenge” outside of Linwood Public Charter School on August 22.
An unidentified man was filmed climbing a pyramid of milk crates without knocking them down or falling. As he prepared to step onto the sixth stack of crates, gunfire erupted, causing the group to disperse.
The man recording the video could be seen running from the scene of the drive-by shooting, yelling, “Get me my gun! Get me my gun!”
A barrage of gunfire could be heard as the man hid behind a car.
“F**k.”
In the aftermath, 19-year-old Paris King lay dead in the backseat of a vehicle that had been shot up. According to KSLA, the driver of the car sped away, and when he realized the teen was dead, he stopped. Another passenger in the vehicle also survived. Police also disclosed that a man was also killed and another wounded in front of the school.
It’s not known if the gentleman on the crates was shot or if he survived.
Shreveport police have not determined if the participants of the milk crate challenge were the intended targets of the drive-by.
No suspects have been arrested.
