Dr. Dre’s Ex Nicole Young Serves Him Divorce Papers at His Grandmother’s Funeral

Dr. Dre’s estranged wife, Nicole Young, served the artist with divorce papers at his grandmother’s funeral on October 18.

According to TMZ, Dre was confronted by Young’s process server, who came up to him at the burial site as he stood by his grandma’s casket and attempted to serve him with the papers. Sources connected to Young said that Dre was given as he left the funeral in the cemetery’s parking lot after the burial.

Dre was infuriated after being notified and refused to take the documents in his hand, and his sources reported that the process server left him the documents by the gravesite.

The outlet reported that the papers involved the details of Young’s final payout from the divorce. The two have been in an ongoing dispute about how much Dre was supposed to pay his estranged wife.

The music mogul originally paid Young $325,433, but as previously reported, recently, a judge signed an order mandating that Dre owed more.

In regards to the fees, the judge previously stated, “considering what is just and reasonable and using the Court’s own experience and knowledge that the payee’s reasonable fees are $3,000,000.00 and costs are $550,000.00.”

Dre had an issue with the set amount but ultimately ended up paying the total amount to Young. Young, however, is standing her ground and says the order is clear, and Dre owes a balance of $1,224,567.

Dre was ordered to pay such an amount due to the considerable difference between his and Young’s income. The court order said that Young’s came up to about 39 million dollars while Dr. Dre has 243 million dollars in assets.

Dre recently overcame a brain aneurysm and is set to play at the Super Bowl Halftime Show next year, alongside Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and Snoop Dogg.
