Cori Broadus Opens Up About Online Bullying & Health Struggles

Broadus said that she has suffered from Lupus since she was just 6 years old.

Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, recently opened up about dealing with online bullying due to her recent health issues. Broadus sat down on Karamo for their April 6 episode to talk about how her father, Snoop, has supported her amidst the hate as she’s been dealing with Lupus.

Broadus told the show’s host, Karamo Brown, “It just gets to a point where you got to say something. When you grow up in the public eye, you know this is what comes with it. Haters are going to hate if they’re not speaking; you’re not doing something right.”

“I love my dad. Sometimes I be like, ‘Wow, I can’t believe that’s my dad, just because you know how big he is and he’s just a legend.’ Being his daughter, so many people have these expectations.”

Broadus, 23, continued to talk more in-depth about the online bullying messages that she’s been getting on social media during the past few years; many attacked her relationship with Wayne Deuce by insinuating that she was too unattractive.

She explained, “People online were saying, ‘He’s only with you because of your dad, so does this mean I have to be ugly to get a man? I got diagnosed with Lupus at the age of six, and [in the photo] I was very inflamed; my lupus was very, very inflamed; nobody knew that, so for people to go on there to say that it made me feel even lower about myself and I think when people say those certain things. And you’re already dealing with insecurities. It like triggers it.”

She admitted that the online hate had made her reluctant to share news of her engagement to Deuce.

“It made me very sad because this is a happy moment, you know what I mean? This is something that I wanted to share with the world. I actually waited a day because I knew, just being in the public eye, people are going to say things. Whether you’re posting something good or whether you’re posting something bad, it’s always going to be somebody with something negative to say.”
