Comedian Mike Epps’ New Comedy Club, One Mike Detroit, Is Coming To Detroit In The Spring

"One Mike Detroit offers premier entertainment experiences within a stylish, urban environment. One Mikes commitment to high-quality customer service, innovative use of technology and team of exceptional professionals guarantee unparalleled customer experience," One Mike Detroit's website read.

A new comedy club featuring live entertainment and superb food is in the works and headed to Detroit, thanks to the legendary comedian Mike Epps.

According to Detroit Free Press, Epps’ One Mike Enterprises announced that the comedy club would be called One Mike Detroit and located in Downtown Detroit, 1331 Broadway, where Punch Bowl Social used to be.

“Detroit has always been a great city for comedy and a second home to me,” Epps said. “I’m excited to announce the flagship location for the one Mike Brand in Downtown Detroit. We’re bringing superb dining and premier comedy experiences to 1331 Broadway.”

Epps said the venue would feature performances from well-known performers and those getting their start. One Mike Detroit partnered with 7th Floor Hospitality Group to ensure guests have a fine-dining experience to go with the entertainment, in which the restaurant will be called Savour 42. Guests can expect options like seafood, beef, chicken, lamb, and vegan-friendly dishes.

In addition to the restaurant, Epps amplified the experience with an upper loft, The Luxe Lounge. Visitors in the lounge can enjoy black-owned wine and spirit brands, including Epp’s Eppic Spirits.

“The first product under the Eppic Spirits brand to be launched is a handcrafted vodka called Micahel Elliott, Ltd.,” Rhashad Hicks, One Mike Enterprises’ VP of Operations, said. “This gluten-free vodka is refreshing and fragrant, with the exotic essence of lychee. There is also another flavor that features an espresso fusion of rich smoky notes of roasted coffee beans.”

According to One Mike Detroit’s website, the comedy club will open in the spring. The website has a countdown for the opening, which is set for April.
